On the night, continued emissions of steam and gas were visualized with low ash content, which reached 200 meters above the crater, in west direction. Activity in the morning, thanks to the 24 hours monitoring, allowed to observe a gas and steam column of 1.500 meters above the crater, with low ash content, in west direction. The seismicity indicates the movement of fluids inside the volcano. So far there has been no rains in the sector.

The Ministry of Tourism visited affected areas with staff of the Secretary of Risk Management, Geophysical Institute and Municipality of Mejia.

In the specific case of Tambopaxi located within the Cotopaxi National Park, which has been closed for precaution, can only operate under the authorization of the Ministry of Environment.
